Natural Science Exam

The unit 6 test on ecosystems is on Wednesday, February 17.  

Revision for Natural Science test. Unit 6 Ecosystems.

  1. We studied 5 important ecosystems. What are they? Do you know their most important characteristics?
  2. Do you know the definitions of these words? Flora, fauna, a community, an environment,
    a habitat, an ecosystem, a population.
  3. Identify the links in a food chain. (producer, primary consumer, etc.)
  4. Complete a text with missing words to explain how a food chain works.
  5. Decide if sentences about grasslands, marine ecosystems and urban ecosystems are true or false.
  6. Match a living thing to its ecosystem.

Natural Science Test

Examen tema 3 ciencias naturales.  Lunes, 21 de diciembre.

Revision for the Natural Science test. Unit 3. Living things.

         1. Unicellular and multicellular organisms.
             What is unicellular? What is multicellular?
             Know some examples of unicellular and multicellular organisms.
             Are living things in the 5 kingdoms unicellular or multicellular?


         2. How are living things organised? Order the structures from the simplest to the most complex.


         3. Identify the kingdoms of living things – using photos or reading descriptions.

         4. Know the life processes of animals and plants. (page 39 of pupil's book)
             Write sentences about the life process of plants.


         5. Study the characteristics of the 5 kingdoms. (pages 40-41 of pupil's book)

Sesión de Piscifactoría


Asistimos a una charla organizado por el Centro de Acuicultura de Badajoz (Piscifactoría), con motivo del día de la acuicultura. Vimos ejemplares de peces, tortugas y anfibios y aprendimos cosas de lo más sorprendentes sobre estos animales.

NATURAL SCIENCE: Types of living things



You will classify living things in 4 kingdoms (Animal, Plant, Fungi and Microorganism).  Remember, in our book there are 5 kingdoms because The Microorganism kingdom is divided into the Protist and Monera kingdoms.

Revision for the Natural Science test. Unit 1 Body Systems.

    1. Identify the body systems you see in pictures.
    Circulatory system, excretory system, respiratory system, digestive system, reproductive system.
    2. Match the organs to the body system.

    Example: ureters, kidneys, urethra and bladder are part of the excretory system.
    3. Explain how the body systems work.
          Fill in the blanks of texts with the missing word. Study the vocabulary on pages 10 and 11.

         4. Match the body system to its definition

         What do the body systems do? 
         For example: The circulatory system moves blood through the heart and around the body.

    5. Label a skeleton.

    Write the names of the bones.
         6. Complete sentences about the skeleton.

         Read the text on page 13.

         7. What does the nervous system do?

         Know the 5 senses and the organs they use.

         8. Classify the male and female reproductive organs.

         For example: ovaries – female reproductive organ; urethra – male reproductive organ.

         9. How we are born.

         Match pictures of the reproductive process to descriptions. Study page 15.

         10. Explain the reproductive process.

         What do the testicles do?
         What do the ovaries do?
         What is the urethra?
         What is the vulva?
         Where does a baby develop?
         What does the embryo become?
